Rubber To Metal Bonding Agent 815GB As A Primer Used For Pipe Lining
(Equivalent to Chemlok 205, Chemosil 211, Cilbond 10E/12E, Thixon P11, Megum 3276)
Description:
Rubber to metal bonding agent 815GB is designed for use under cover coat adhesives to bond a wide varietyof vulcanized and unvulcanized rubber compounds to metals and other rigid substrates. It is composed of amixture of polymers, organic compounds and mineral fillers dissolved or dispersed in an organic solventsystem.
Purpose:
Surface treatment agent used for bonding rubber to metal as a primer.
Applicable Range:
Used as a primer adhesive and combined with a cover coat adhesive, it can firmly bond elastomers to varioustypes of substrates.
Suitable for the following substrates:
Metals: carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, zinc, titanium, magnesium, lead, and various alloys.
Non-metals: nylon, fiberglass, polytetrafluoroethylene, rubber, plastic, fabric fibers, glass, ceramics, etc.
Can be used as a one-coat adhesive to bond some nitrile rubber compounds to rigid substrates during vulcanization.
Features and Benefits:
Environmentally friendly, Compliant with GB 33372-2020.
Good construction performance.
Good resistance to pre-baking.
Excellent high temperature resistance.

Application:
Stirring: During the storage process of 815GB, some sediment will settle at the bottom of the container. Before painting, it must be thoroughly stirred to achieve uniform mixing before use; If the painting process islong, stir at high speed for 5-10 minutes every 2 hours.
Diluting: This product can also be diluted with diluents according to actual operational needs. It is recommended to dilute according to the amount used. Diluted products should not be stored for a long time.
Brush coating method: no dilution is required.
Roller coating method: no dilution is required.
Dip: 100 parts of 815GB adhesive and 20-50 parts of diluent MIBK.
Spray method: 100 parts of 815GB adhesive and 30-100 parts of diluent MIBK.
Coating: This product can be coated by brushing, dipping, roller coating, spraying, and other methods. The processing layer should be uniform to avoid excessive overflow.
Single coating: Dry film thickness(DFT) 5-15μm, 10-15 μm for harsh environment;
Drying: Drying at room temperature takes about 30-60 minutes, and forced drying can shorten the drying time.
Product storage: This product needs to be stored in a dry room temperature environment to avoid prolonged exposure to high humidity and high temperature environments.
Cleaning: Before heating vulcanization, dip a rag in xylene solvent to remove excess treatment agent spilt around. Once cured, solvent cannot be removed.
Vulcanization: Vulcanization of rubber and adhesive at the same time can obtain the best bonding properties. When the coating is placed in the molding mold, it should be quickly filled with rubber vulcanization. The actual curing condition depends on the curing condition of the rubber.
Shelf Life/Storage:
Shelf life is 12 months from date of shipment when stored at < 37℃ in original, unopened container. Do not store or use near heat, sparks or open flame.
Precautions:
This product is volatile, please close the container after use.
Solvent steam is harmful, pay attention to fire prevention in the workplace, pay attention to low ventilation, prevent long-term inhalation or long-term skin contact.
Please refer to SDS for more safety information.
